Research Interests and Activities

Sensing with mobile phones (and its applications). I'm currently leading GeoTherm, which investigates possibilities to save energy by controlling home thermostats using people's mobility patterns. Also, sensing on phones has been part of my PhD work at the Wireless and Mobile Communications group at the TU Delft (see dissertation).

Cloud computing (in particular private clouds and cloud storage). This covers consultancy and research on various aspects of cloud computing - hybrid deployments, Mashup technologies, product scans and application development. My cloud storage work focuses on high-performance WAN systems and P2P systems.
